Supervision, responsibility and accountability

Living in a boarding school requires a high degree of maturity and responsibility from the individual student. It is expected that you as a boarding school student can live up to the concept, freedom under responsibility.

The boarding school’s student composition varies widely in terms of age, culture and norm. There are no specific sets of rules for eg individual age groups, but an overall and broad set of rules that applies to everyone. As a parent, you may have other rules, norms and expectations for your “child”, these individual rules must primarily be based on trust between student and parents. The boarding school supervises the students. This does not mean a constant supervision, but means that we are aware of the individual student’s well – being, of the individual student’s presence at the boarding school, and that the boarding school’s rule and norm set are complied with.

As a boarding school student, you always have the opportunity to contact the boarding school’s guard if you want advice and guidance, have things you would like to have turned around, or if problems arise.

If there is significant concern about students under the age of 18, you as parents will be notified, you are also always welcome to contact us. In relation to students over the age of 18, we generally only approach the parents with the permission of the student.
