An introduction to the IB Diploma

One of the basic ideas of the IB Diploma has been to create a young, international environment where young people between 16 and 19 get the opportunity to take an exam reaching across the borders. The IB Diploma Programme is offered in more than 100 countries and is being taught in the three main languages English, Spanish and French. In Denmark the IB language is English – thus a high level of English proficiency is demanded before entering the programme.

The IB Diploma is an educational program for young people who would like to be part of an international community, who would like to be able to study anywhere around the world and who would like to become bi- or multilingual.The IB Diploma is a rigorous, two-year international upper secondary educational programme which gives direct access to universities and other higher educational institutions around the world.
